Barney: Let's Pretend With Barney

More than just an "OK" video!!!
From the beginning to end, this short episode is terrific. Barney's always been one to highlight the "imagination" for children, and this one is no different. The song, "Just Imagine" is sung at a little slower pace in this video, and what makes it great is that there's a reprise at the end of the show as well.

Essentially, the kids and Barney help "BJ" use his imagination to "rescue" a princess in the imaginative forest in the playground, and they help BJ by showing him how they could use their imaginations to live under the water, or become characters, like cowboys and cowgirls, or even take an airplane ride. "Flying in an Airplane" is a great little song.

Overall, this is a wonderful video for the kids, and my 29 month old twin girls love the video. They don't find it boring at all. I guess that's in the mind of the "parent," and not the kids.

A terrific bargain at Amazon. And the beauty of it is- if the kids tire of it, you could re-sell it...

just ok
It is just ok because we have cable and have seen these 2 episodes few times before (tape cover does not have any pictures and the summary is vague). The first one has Carlos, David, and Laura pretending to ride on an airplane. The second one with David, Laura, and Whitney as pirates on a tropical island (set inside the caboose). Nothing exciting about these episodes even when we saw them the first time. They are also my 2 1/2 girl's least favorites. I would not recommend this tape even if you don't have cable. The best tapes I think are "Sing-and-Dance with Barney" and "Barney Songs".

My grandson and grand niece LOVE it!
It is interactive and we dance and sing right along with Barney and his friends. I is Very cute and colorful!
